Swimming at DKHAC
Our centre is designed to cater for the serious swimmer, the casual lap swimmer and those wanting to bring the children in for some fun!
Lap swimming is a great way to improve fitness, strength and endurance, and as a low impact exercise it’s great for injury rehabilitation.
Our heated 50m pool is 2 metres deep and has 8 lanes. We provide fast, medium and slow lap lanes so you can pick the pace you like.
Children loving splashing around in our aquatic play area that provides a beach entry, and a family leisure pool heated to 32 degrees.
The 25m pool is next to our floor to ceiling windows. The depth varies from 1.1 to 1.4 metres, which is great for rehabilitation, water walking, lap swimming and our shallow water Aqua Aerobics classes.
Our 8 lane 50m pool is very popular with our lap swimmers, is also used for squad training, school carnivals, national events, team sports and more.
The dive pool is Tasmania's only competition standard dive pool. The dive pool is also used for our popular deep water Aqua Aerobics classes, diving lessons, and lap swimming.
